On the morning of August 12, 2021-2022 (the 15th) International Automobile Lightweight Conference and Exhibition (hereinafter referred to as the "Conference") successfully held its closing ceremony, which ended in Yangzhou. In just three days, the Organizing Committee has carefully organized a series of exchanges, discussions, project docking and results release of automotive lightweight technology. Industry experts, scholars and elites gathered in Yangzhou to share the information feast of automobile lightweight.

With rich contents and diverse forms, the conference and exhibition attracted more than 1000 professional visitors from domestic mainstream automobile enterprises, major materials and parts enterprises, universities and research institutes, and local parts enterprises in Yangzhou. More than 100 enterprises, including Norbert, Aosheng Technology, Yucai Tang, Fuseri, ArcelorMittal, Shuaiyichi, Kalai, DuPont, and Geshi, participated in the technology exhibition.

The closing ceremony of the conference consists of three parts, namely the academic opinion release of 2021-2022 (the 15th) International Conference on Automotive Lightweight, the award ceremony of 2021-2022 (the 9th) China Lightweight Body Conference (commercial vehicles) and the award ceremony of 2021 China Automotive Lightweight Design Selection. Liu Bo, deputy director of the expert committee of the lightweight alliance, professor of Beijing University of Science and Technology and leading talent of the Ministry of Science and Technology, presided over the closing ceremony.

In the technical report link, experts from major vehicle manufacturers made case sharing reports to show the lightweight achievements and elaborate the development direction and planning of future automobile lightweight. Next, Liu Bo, deputy director of the expert committee of the lightweight alliance and professor of Beijing University of Science and Technology, released the academic views of the 2022 (15th) International Automobile Lightweight Conference on behalf of the organizing committee, which are:

1. The heat treatment free aluminum alloy large-scale integrated die casting technology has become an important innovation in the light weight of automobile body;

2. The integrated lightweight design represented by CTC/CTB blurs the boundary between power battery and body, and changes the body structure and assembly process of new energy vehicles;

3. Unequal thickness integrated hot stamping door ring technology has become a new way of lightweight high-strength steel;

4. The development of low carbon automotive lightweight technology has become the main direction of development in the future.
